Linda Oliva, Ed.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Secondary Education Department.  She holds a BS degree in Human Performance from the University of Maryland College Park.  She received her masters and doctorate degrees from Boston University, School of Education. She previously taught in the Teacher Education and Psychology departments at Mississippi University for Women.

Dr. Oliva has many years of experience in directing psychoeducational programs for children, adolescents, and adults.  She has taught at the elementary, middle, and secondary levels.  She has directed several projects focused on the efficacy of educational technologies.

Dr. Oliva serves as the University Liaison to Arbutus Middle School.   Her research interests include the development of domain specific expertise, educational technologies, assessment and evaluation, teacher mentoring, and action research.
