As a faculty in the MAE program, Tracy oversees the science and STEM programs and STEM Instructional Leader certificate. Tracy teaches science and STEM courses as well as the educational courses on assessment and evaluation, research designs in education, action research and capstone courses. Tracy’s PhD is from the UMBC Language, Literacy, and Culture Program, where she analyzed the development of STEM Academies through the STEM Measurement Tool. Tracy’s research focuses on STEM Education and the development of professional learning communities to assist K-12 schools in advancing STEM education for all students. Previously, Tracy has worked as a researcher in molecular biology, as a high school science and technology education teacher, and as a program approval specialist at the Maryland State Department of Education.
