Kimberly Feldman taught high school English for 10 years in Maryland, Georgia, and even the Yupik Eskimo village of Tununak, Alaska. She was a National Board Certified Teacher, and in 2009 she was Howard County Teacher of the Year and a finalist for Maryland Teacher of the Year. Dr. Feldman serves as a senator on the UMBC Professional Staff Senate and is on the leadership team for the Maryland Content Area Literacy Collaborative.
