Professional Development School (PDS) Coordinator | Office of Field Experiences and Clinical Practice
Dr. Patrick Dignan, a passionate educator, committed to fostering strong school
communities by developing highly qualified educators, serves as PDS Coordinator in
the Office of Field Experience and Clinical Practice. Patrick holds a Bachelor of Arts
degree in Economics and a Master of Arts in Teaching from UMBC. He earned his
Administration I Certification from McDaniel College and a Doctorate in Educational
Leadership and Online Education from the American College of Education. Previously,
he worked as a 9th Grade Coordinator and Social Studies teacher. He currently serves
as an Assistant Principal at Mergenthaler Vocational Technical High School, Baltimore
City’s largest high school, where he helps shape academic and career-focused
opportunities for students. He will support the Office of Field Experience and Clinical
Practice on a part-time basis, supporting our field experience and internship students,
internship supervisors, and mentor teachers.
