Secondary students should see their education adviser for further information about courses to be taken in their major. Our Mission The UMBC Department of Education seeks to advance teaching and learning through our integration of research and collaboration with others for the benefit of our diverse society. The Department of Education offers both graduate and undergraduate programs leading to certification in a variety of content areas.
