Named “one of the country’s best art museums” by The Washington Post, the Baltimore Museum of Art founded in 1914 inspires people of all ages and backgrounds through exhibitions, programs, and collections that tell an expansive story of art—challenging long-held narratives embracing new voices. The Museum’s collection of more than 97,000 objects spans many eras and cultures and includes the world’s largest public holding of works by Henri Matisse.
Curious what a visit to the Walters Art Museum could look like for your students and how the museum can support you as a teacher? On Saturday, March 7, visit the Walters Art Museum to step into the shoes of a student and explore teacher resources you can use in your classroom. This free experience is led by museum Education staff, and includes time for mingling, snacking, and art making with your fellow teachers!
Register and learn more at the Walters Art Museum table at the Arts Integration Conference or by emailing cwolfe@thewalters.org.
